The Data Community promotes and encourages the advancement of access to electronic data resources.
The Data Community facilitates the exchange of ideas and fosters discussion among data professionals to encourage collaborative initiatives, the development of new ideas, increased access, and more efficient use of resources.
In the OCUL context, the Community collectively lobbies government and commercial institutions and liaises with professional data organizations across Canada and around the world
The Data Community was established in 2014.
