OCUL Accessibility Community Virtual Huddle: Inclusive Spaces & Technology Labs in Libraries

The OCUL Accessibility Community invites you to join our next Virtual Huddle, on the topic of Inclusive Spaces & Technology Labs in Libraries.

Led by Barbara Sobol, Undergraduate Services Librarian, University of British Columbia, Okanagan Campus Library, this meeting will focus on best practices for designing inclusive library spaces with a focus on innovative technology labs. Since 2015, Barbara has managed an Inclusive Technology Lab which facilitates student access to assistive technology through workstations and a borrowing collection, as well as distraction-reduced and ergonomic study spaces.

This session is open to members of the Accessibility Community and the wider OCUL Community and is intended for anyone with an interest in multimedia procurement, equity, accessibility and inclusion.

What is a virtual huddle?
This virtual huddle is an informal meeting designed to facilitate information sharing and support a robust community of practice around accessibility issues. This event is an opportunity to join a video call to share information, ask questions or just be privy to a discussion on one focus issue related to accessibility.
