Ask a Librarian – service pilote en français et nouveau partenaire

L’Ontario Council of University Libraries (le Conseil des bibliothèques universitaires de l'Ontario) est heureux d'annoncer le maintien du service pilote Clavardez avec nos bibliothécaires pour une seconde année ainsi que l’ajout, en septembre 2015, de l’Université du Québec en Outaouais au réseau des 14 universités participantes. Clavardez avec nos bibliothécaires est un service de référence virtuel en français en collaboration avec les bibliothèques de l'Université d'Ottawa, de l'Université Laurentienne et du campus Glendon de l'Université York. Clavardez avec nos bibliothécaires a été lancé le 8 septembre 2014 et est le volet francophone du service d’OCUL (du CBUO) Ask a Librarian, en activité depuis 2011.
 
Grâce à ce projet, Clavardez /Ask offre un appui à la recherche en temps réel par clavardage ― en français et en anglais ― aux étudiants, professeurs et chercheurs des quatorze universités ontariennes participantes et d’une université québécoise. Le service est assuré par des bibliothécaires, des membres du personnel des bibliothèques participantes ainsi que par des mentorés, eux-mêmes étudiants actuels ou récents diplômés de programmes de maîtrise en Sciences de l'information. OCUL (le CBUO) est heureux de pouvoir étendre son service de référence virtuel à l’ensemble de la communauté universitaire de l'Ontario ainsi qu’à l’extérieur de la province.
 
Le service en français a été rendu possible grâce au financement provenant de l’Entente Canada-Ontario sur les langues officielles, attribué à l'Université d'Ottawa.

Clavardez avec nos bibliothécaires
Ask a Librarian – French Pilot Service and New Partner

The Ontario Council of University Libraries (OCUL) is pleased to announce that the pilot virtual reference service in French, Clavardez avec nos bibliothécaires, will continue for a second year, in collaboration with the libraries of University of Ottawa, Laurentian University and the Glendon campus of York University. We are also happy to announce that Université du Québec en Outaouais will be joining the service this coming September.  Clavardez avec nos bibliothécaires, which was launched on September 8, 2014, is the French version of OCUL’s existing Ask a Librarian service that has been in operation since 2011.  
 
With this development, Clavardez/Ask delivers a virtual reference service that connects students, faculty and researchers from 14 participating Ontario university libraries and 1 Québec university library with real-time research assistance through chat in French and English.  Users are served by librarians and library staff from the participating libraries along with mentees who are current students or recent graduates of Masters level programs in Information Studies. OCUL is pleased to be able to extend its virtual reference service to the Ontario university community as well as outside the province.
 
The French pilot service has been made possible thanks to funding from the Canada-Ontario Agreement on French-Language Services awarded to University of Ottawa.
