As artificial intelligence and machine learning (AIML) become increasingly integrated into higher education, academic libraries play a growing role in these technologies’ adoption in research and learning.
To better understand how AIML tools are being used by library professionals, the Ontario Council of University Libraries (OCUL) invites academic library workers to take part in a brief online survey. Your insights will support the development of new capacity-building programming for Ontario’s academic library workers.
The 5–10-minute survey seeks to gather experiences, practices, and perspectives on AIML use within academic libraries. Whether personally experimenting with AI tools, concerned about the impact of AI on your workflows, or exploring the implications of emerging technologies for users, your input is valuable.
Why participate?
Survey responses will directly inform the development of programming offered through OCUL’s AI and Machine Learning Program. Your feedback will help OCUL shape training opportunities and resources that reflect the needs and aspirations of academic library professionals across Ontario and beyond.
Who should take the survey?
We welcome responses from anyone working in academic libraries, with all levels of familiarity with AI. We are especially interested in hearing from a diverse range of roles, across different library units, institutions, and regions.
Please complete the survey by May 30, 2025 at 5 p.m. Eastern Time.
Thank you for contributing to this important effort. Your voice will help guide how OCUL supports academic libraries in navigating — and leading — AI innovation.
